Stirling Moss drives the Mercedes-Benz 300-SLR to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia with Journalist, Denis Jenkinsen providing course instructions through prearranged hand signals. In 1955 Stirling Moss, with journalist Denis Jenkinson as navigator, drove a Mercedes-Benz 300-SLR to victory in the Mille Miglia. They had planned the route carefully, mapping every detail on a 19 foot roll of paper which Jenkinson read while they drove. Using hand signals he prepared Moss for each turn and crossing they were to encounter. Traveling at speeds in excess of 170 mph they set a course record 10 mph faster than the old record. Sculpture comes with self illuminated, hardwood base which lights up the clear resin dust cloud from underneath.
