For the fifteenth year, artist Garry Hill has commemorated The Winston all-star race with an original painting and fine art limited edition prints. The All-Star Race 2001 artwork was unveiled at Hendrick Motorsports on Wednesday, October 24th during a luncheon hosted by Winston for winner Jeff Gordon and the Hendrick Motorsports DuPont team.


Winston's Rick Sanders, president of Sports Marketing Enterprises and Miss Winston, Cielo Garcia unveiled the original painting and presented Jeff Gordon, team owner Rick Hendrick and the entire Hendrick Motorsports team with lithograph prints from the painting to document their acheivement for winning the all-star classic. The artwork features Gordon in the DuPont Chevrolet Monte Carlo taking the checkered flag at Lowe's Motor Speedway. In winning, Gordon and the Hendrick team ties Richard Childress Racing and the late Dale Earnhardt as the only three time winners of The Winston. "It is indeed an honor and a privilege to create the artwork annually to document and commemorate the efforts of our sport's greatest teams," commented artist Garry Hill.

500 fine art prints and 50 artist's proof prints have been published to document the 2001 The Winston. A limited number of prints and artist's proof prints are available for sale to the public.
